The SA-330 Puma is a two-engine helicopter for medium transport, with a tricycle retractable landing gear, with two wheels in each unit, and a 4 blade rotor. It is primarily used in Search and Rescue missions. It has emergency floats, hooks for suspended cargo or for recovering people from ships. If needed it can be equipped with supplementary tanks, which enhance its range and/or endurance. As tactical transport, it can carry from 16 to 20 military personnel or 3000 Kg of cargo, and in the “ambulance” version it can carry 6 wounded or sick in stretches.
