The Air Force carries out the multinational and multidisciplinary exercise Real Thaw 2022 (RT22), between June 26 and July 8, at Air Base 11, in Beja.

This year edition has the participation of military forces from Belgium, Spain, France, United States, Lithuania, Netherlands and also NATO forces.

The RT22 makes it possible to evaluate and certify the operational capabilities of the Air Force, Navy, Army, and the participating countries, preparing them to act in joint operations, enhancing interoperability between all, namely to guarantee the preparation of the National Forces Deployed at the service of the UN and NATO.

RT22 offers participants a unique opportunity to plan and execute missions, with the aim of integrating and synchronizing different domains.

The RT22 missions will take place at specific locations and have been planned to have minimal impact on the environment and population.
