The soldiers participating in the Real Thaw 2022 exercise (RT22) carried out, yesterday, June 28th, an aerial refueling mission (Air-to-Air Refueling).

Two Portuguese F-16M aircraft and an American KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft were involved in this training.

The aerial refueling mission of the two Portuguese aircraft, through the KC-135, is essential to increase the flight time of the aircraft.

Until the 8th of July, training will continue to assess and certify the operational capabilities of the Air Force and other participating forces.
