Tactical Air Controllers and Air Surveillance and Identification Operators from the Air Force played a key role in the NATO Tiger Meet 2025 (NTM25) exercise, ensuring the coordination, planning, and control of missions conducted from Air Base No. 11 (BA11), in Beja.
These service members ensured the integration of all air assets involved — of various types and from multiple nations — in an exercise recognized for its high operational complexity and intensity. Their efforts were critical to ensuring the safe execution of each mission and the achievement of the daily objectives set within the scope of joint training.
Usually assigned to the Air Command, in Monsanto, the personnel deployed to BA11 took on a forward role, continuously monitoring the execution of missions throughout the exercise.
The large number of air assets present at NTM25 was one of the main challenges faced by these teams, but also a unique opportunity to prepare for real-world scenarios. This exercise strengthens the Air Force's response capability in multi-domain operations and consolidates the nation's integration in the collective effort of partner countries.
