The 7th edition of Hotblade began last Wednesday, June 7th, with the opening ceremony, while air activity began the morning of the following day where some of the helicopters committed to Hotblade 2023 (HB23) made themselves heard from Air Base 11 (AB11), in Beja.

During HB23, there will be Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), Air Assault, Vehicle Interdiction and Convoy Escort missions. These missions can be carried out both in daytime and nighttime environments.

During these missions, in addition to land forces such as the TACP and NOTP, forces from different branches are also involved, such as the Navy and the Army.

Multinational exercises, such as Hotblade, are unique opportunities to conduct joint and combined training, in different scenarios, in order to improve interoperability between participants.

Remember that HB23, the last one organized by the European Defense Agency, will run until the 23rd of June, at AB11.
